Pregnant Christina Aguilera had to give up Melbourne show when she was unable to perform despite all her efforts. The singer developed breathing problem and collapsed backstage which left the show unfinished by three songs. She personally apologized to her fans saying: I want to personally apologise to all of my fans.I am truly disappointed that I won’t be able to share my show with you all. Currently on world tour in support of her album, Back To Basics the 26-year-old pop singer is expecting her first child with hubby Jordan Bratman. She is four months pregnant and recently had her wardrobe redesigned so as to accommodate her growing bulge. She was kept her under supervision and the doctors advised her to cancel world tour. They also prescribed her a complete bed rest for next coming days. It seems that Christina is not well enough to perform her last show that is scheduled for August 3, as she is also confirmed suffering from viral and upper respiratory tract infection. It’s really appreciable that the pop star wishes to perform despite her illness unlike other stars…..as Amy Winehouse who is always looking for a chance to cancel her gigs for no other reason. Still Christina you should take care of yourself, the little baby inside and must not stress her body at this point of time. She is scheduled to perform in Auckland on August 3 and all her pals and fans are worrying if she stresses herself to finish the last two dates of the tour. I know you’re brave and a fighter Christina but right now listen to nature’s call and give yourself some break. Image Source: Thesun

Avril Rips Off Songs

Avril Lavigne, word has it, tends to leave with a song or two from people, and does not issue the appropriate credits. Canadian Chantal Kreviazuk in an interview to “Performing Songwriter” says that the Avril has ripped her off her song! Performing Songwriter: We just did a story with Avril Lavigne, whom you wrote with… Chantal: I find it funny that it’s in Performing Songwriter. I mean, Avril, songwriter? Avril doesn’t really sit and write songs by herself or anything. Avril will also cross the ethical line, and no one says anything. That’s why I’ll never work with her again. I sent her a song two years ago called “Contagious,” and I just saw the track listing to this album (The Best Damn Thing) and there’s a song called “Contagious” on it–and my name’s not on it. What do you do with that? Performing Songwriter: Call the lawyers? Chantal: See, I won’t do that. I’ll just tell you. Art should not be subject to that kind of controversy. Art should be pure. In my head it is, anyway. Avril Lavigne has sold over twenty-six million albums worldwide. In 2006, Canadian Business Magazine ranked her the seventh most powerful Canadian in Hollywood. Lavigne’s debut album, Let Go, was released in 2002. Her second and third albums, Under My Skin (2004) and The Best Damn Thing (2007), hit number one on the U.S. Billboard 200. Some of her popular numbers include “Complicated”, “Sk8er Boi”, “I’m with You”, “My Happy Ending”, “Nobody’s Home”, “Keep Holding On”, and “Girlfriend”. Source – Socialite Image

Britney Spears sends four tracks for review

It’s hard to get past a Britney Spears headline these days. Every music magazine or website seems to feature the American pop musician whether for good or for bad. But the latest news on the much troubled pop star to have hit the road is a positive one. Britney Spears has tentatively named her comeback album Piece of Me and has also sent four of the tracks to several online sites for review. This comes just days after her dismal display at the 2007 MTV Video Music Awards when she was observed to be far removed from her old confident self and was found disoriented and shaky. That followed the release of her first track from her new album Gimme More at the end of last month. The name of the new album was still up for speculation till then but now there’s a strong hint that it could named ‘Piece of Me’ after a track which could easily be the second single. Britney Spears has also been asking her fans to name her new album on her website. Four tracks have been submitted to various online sites for review and among them is the highly acclaimed and popular People.com. Reviewer Chuck Arnold is quite impressed with the track ‘Piece of Me’ and says that Britney’s voice is heavily possessed in the track. The lyrics are quite Britney-esque. They go from “I’m Mrs. American dream/ Since I was 17″ to “I’m Mrs. Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous/ I’m Mrs. ‘Oh my God, that Britney’s shameless’/ I’m Mrs. ‘Extra, extra, this just in’ / I’m Mrs. ‘She’s too fat, now she’s too thin’.” Another track Break the Ice, that is produced by Timbaland and DanjaHandz contains her trademark breathy vocals while the song Radar has a bouncy beat. The new album, due to be released on November 13, has a club track too: Heaven on Earth has been written by Kara DioGuardi and is being touted as another dance floor hit. Gimme More has just claimed its first chart position. The song positioned itself at #85 in Billboard Hot 100 and straight to #25 in Hot 100 Airplay. Although Britney Spears is not used to such modest positions in the charts, she should still be confident that she can make the amazing comeback that people have been expecting for quite some time.
